90 Warren Gore - Second of Four Gores Scored

Of the 3 gores and grants -- unchartered lands and survey errors -- in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, Warren Gore is the easy one.  VT-114 passes right thru the gore, along Norton Pond.  Because I also wanted to survey Warner's Grant -- which doesn't have any road access -- I hiked along Hurricane  Brook Road, hoping for a trail that headed off to the west and Warner's.   Such was not my luck, and I will need to return and rehike thru Warren Gore to find a new way up into Warner's Grant.  The third gore -- Avery's -- will be easier, as I have found the trailhead that provides access into Avery's Gore.  Looks like this will require another dawn-to-dusk expedition, to capture both gores and the nearby town of Norton.

Checklist for Warren Gore (*= on Norton Pond):
Common Merganser*
Hooded Merganser*
Common Loon*
Hairy Woodpecker
Black-capped Chickadee
Common Raven
Red Crossbill
